Plant of the Day
Thursday 20 February 2014
A small evergreen shrub native to British woodlands and hedgerows Daphne laureola, known as copse or spurge laurel. This was part of a small winter garden at Myddleton House. Very shade tolerant and flowers in late winter or as I like to think early spring! Pollinated by flies and moths.
